User Name and Password

TAMK user name

Student, staff and online course user names are personal. The generation and maintenance of user names are based on personal data in Student Administration System. All changes, e.g. expiry of the study entitlement or the end of employment, are automatically transferred to the user database. Students will be informed by email 7 days before the user name expires. Staff user names are closed on the last employment day.

To enable a new username

The new user registers username as self-service at

The same user name and password work for example in the following services:

  • Windows workstations
  • Citrix
  • Intranet
  • Email
  • Moodle
  • Home directory
  • Pakki
  • Peppi


The password is valid for 4 months (120 days). The system reminds you well before the password is about to expire. Notifications are sent 14 days, 5 days and 1 day before the expiration.

You can change the password on the Windows workstations at campus or in the web The changed password works for all services mentioned above.

A forgotten or locked password can be changed in the web service You need personal bank identifiers or a mobile certificate for identification. Password can also be changed at ICT Helpdesk. Be prepared to prove your identity there also.
